Original Question:
Hi everyone, I have this Big Sur install on Ryzen which works pretty well (sound is ok, ethernet, GPU, ACPI, memory slots configured, ...). The only thing that's giving me headaches right now are software updates - not the part regarding applying them, but softwareupdate itself. I'm on 11.1 and neither System Preferences nor softwareupdate show any update available, while we all know 11.2 has been out for a while now.
I tried refreshing several times but 11.2 still doesn't show up, and the same happened when updating to 11.1. I had to resort to downloading "Install macOS Big Sur" from the App Store in order to update from 11.0, which worked fine but it's an hassle (it's also significantly bigger than the standalone update at more than 12 GB).
macOS currently believes this is a 2019 Mac Pro because that's what I set in OpenCore. I don't know if that might be a factor? Does anyone have this same issue?
