Original Question:
Hi,
I'm considering a build for Logic Pro X music production and I'm considering a hackintosh. I need thunderbolt to work for my audio interface (UAD Arrow).
I'm looking at an Intel i9-10850K, ASUS Z490 ProART Creator 10G. It has a built in Thunderbolt controller and is "reasonably" priced. I am planning on using the onboard graphics for the time being as the current GPU market is a joke and I have no need for much GPU horsepower. I can upgrade to an AMD GPU if they become available for a reasonable price.
To my knowledge, both the motherboard and processor are well supported, as is the integrated graphics. Do you know of the state of thunderbolt on Hackintoshes? Should I be able to get it up and running?
I am happy to tinker with it to get it up and running but I do not want to have to keep tinkering to keep it going.
Should I consider hackintosh for my usage?
