How to Fix A4tech Mini Keyboard are not working after boot up

This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

Prerequisites

  • Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
  • Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.

Fix Steps

  1. Check if your GPU requires WhateverGreen or specific boot-args (e.g., agdpmod=pikera).
  2. Ensure Metal acceleration is fully supported for your macOS version.
  3. Update Lilu and WhateverGreen to the latest versions.

Verification

  • Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.

Original Question:

It seems like A4tech Mini Keyboards have small issues on Hackintosh / macOS itself. I have the following keyboards which stops working after my hackintosh starts:

  1. A4tech KLS-5 Mini Wired Keyboard
  2. A4tech FK11 Fstyler Mini Wired Keyboard

All of my computer USB ports and peripherals (e.g. Gaming Mouse, Flash Drive, USB Powered Speakers) using them are working just fine. I have

  • fixed AMD CPU Power Management,
  • mapped USB,
  • installed USBX, and
  • Booting without USB.

To make my keyboard work, I have to plug-out-&-in and wait for a couple of seconds.

Please let me (and others) know if you know how to resolve the issue. Thanks!
