I have been running Catalina with Open Core without issues on my x79 build for some time. I upgraded to Big Sur on a separate drive. After loads of installation problems got it to boot to the desktop . but it lasts a couple of minutes before it crashes plus there is loads of Usb functionality missing which is odd as its all working under Catalina.
