  I have a 2013 mbp here and it refuses to install sonoma or ventura. It just dies on the black and white apple screen, and at the boot picker, both icons say "installer", even the one with the secret double disk icon that should be the properly formatted bootable drive. It just goes like this in an infinite loop.
