17 inch 2011 Pro with GPU problems, can I disable the Radeon GPU somehow with OCLP?

I tried the dosdude tutorial and it didn't work, it doesn't boot to recovery or the os, only to single person mode. It also doesn't want to turn on at all most times. Is there any way I can disable the gpu with oclp?
