Hi everyone, Everything works quite well overall, but I’m having a strange issue with local video playback. When I play videos using VLC, they work fine if I just let them run from the start. But if I try to seek or skip to another part of the video, it immediately freezes and won’t continue. QuickLook can’t open video files either. It shows an error message saying “The document could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (-101).” However, streaming videos online on Safari works completely fine. I can seek or skip through them with no problem at all. I also noticed that when playing videos locally, the GPU usage barely moves. It’s almost like there’s no hardware decoding happening at all. So I’m wondering if this is normal for a Hackintosh with UHD 620 graphics, or if it means I’ve set something up wrong related to video acceleration, DRM, or WhateverGreen. I just want to know what could be causing this or what part of my setup might be wrong. Thanks for reading, and I’d really appreciate any suggestions or experiences from people who have run into the same issue. [link] [comments] |
