Recovering from a Failed OCLP Installation
If your iMac 2013 is stuck on an old OS (like Mountain Lion) after a failed format, follow these steps to get back to Catalina or Ventura.
Recovery Steps:
- Create OCLP USB on Another PC: Since your iMac is unusable, use a friend's Mac or a PC with TransMac to create a bootable OCLP installer.
- Internet Recovery: Hold
Cmd + Opt + Ron boot to try and pull the latest compatible OS (Catalina) from Apple's servers. - Patcher Settings: When recreating the OCLP USB, ensure the model is set specifically to iMac14,2.
- Clean Install: Boot from the USB, use Disk Utility to format the internal SSD as APFS, and proceed with the installation.

heyy, I tried to install macOS ventura on my imac 27 inch late 2013 which had catalina, after formatting the SSD it gave an error and therefore I lost catalina, the mac took an os from the internet or I don't know what and installed macOS X, the operating system with which it was shipped at the release, at the moment however it is unusable and I can't recover catalina in any way, neither from apple because catalina doesn't appear in the app store, from mr.macintosh I can't find direct working links and I don't have other pc with macOS,i tried again to update it with open core again but the os it's too old . what do I do? (sorry for the bad english)
