Understanding the Wi-Fi Icon Color in macOS Sequoia (OCLP)

Is your Wi-Fi correctly patched in OCLP?

In macOS Sequoia, the Wi-Fi icon might appear grey or 'disconnected' even when you are online. This is often a visual bug with the legacy networking kexts.

How to Verify your Patches:

  1. Check Connection: If you can browse the web, your Wi-Fi is working. The icon color is just a cosmetic issue with the Modern Wireless root patches.
  2. OCLP Status: Open the OCLP app. If the Post-Install Root Patch button is greyed out and says 'All patches applied', then you are good to go.
  3. System Report: Go to About This Mac > System Report > Network > Wi-Fi. If it shows your card details and a firmware version, the drivers are loaded correctly.

Original Question: "Is the WiFi icon supposed to be that color grey? After using OCLP to patch to sequoia my WiFi icon is a different color looks disconnected, even with roots how do I know they all in correctly?"
