Maximizing Performance on Mid-2010 iMac

With an i3, 16GB of RAM, and an SSD, your 2010 iMac is well-equipped for OCLP.

Recommended Versions:

  1. macOS Monterey (Recommended): This is the 'sweet spot' for 2010-2011 iMacs. It is very stable and has excellent support for Non-Metal graphics (Intel HD/AMD 5000).
  2. macOS Sonoma: Works, but you will need to enable Reduce Transparency and Reduce Motion in Accessibility settings to keep the UI snappy on the older i3 processor.
  3. High Sierra (Current): Stay here if you need to run 32-bit apps, as all OCLP-supported versions (Mojave and newer) only support 64-bit software.
