How to Stop the FaceTime Camera Icon Returning After Sleep

Everything works perfectly except for this thing that happens to appear every time I open my laptop's lid.. I once used FaceTime with my iPhone as camera, but after that I disconnected my iPhone from FaceTime, closed the app completely, there was nothing in the menu bar and suddenly the next day after I open the lid, this appeared. It only disappears if I open desk view through that button and then select disconnect from my iPhone.. Im also new to macOS, is there something that I don't know about or a bug? Thanks!
