I have a 2011 iMac I repaired, and a brand new Ryzen PC.
I don't agree with Macbook pricing and the $2000~ Refurbished MBP 15" 2016 I have sitting in front of me is giving me buyers remorse.
Is there any laptop in the $400-1000 USD range that can run macOS Sierra and High Sierra well? I need the device primarily for computer science. I'm taking a specific iOS/macOS development course and well, XCODE only runs on macOS as far as I know.
Suggestions? Should I just return the 15" MBP 2016 refurb and get a refurb 13" 8gb/16gb and call it a day?
I can deal with a funny track pad but if the thing doesn't boot in the middle of the semester I'll be pissed. I won't be hooped as I have my iMac 27" but still. Long nights at the lab unfortunately mean I won't access to my desktops.
