Hello everyone! This is my first time posting on the subreddit, so it's nice to meet you all! Since summer is almost here, I'm going to need a new computer to fulfill all of my music production needs, in which, I mainly use Logic Pro X. I've honestly considered upon getting the new iMacs that were refreshed this year, however, I feel that I'd get more out of my money if I built a Hackintosh instead since I'd get NVME storage, a more powerful graphics card, more RAM, and a powerful CPU... which all the components I've chosen are CHEAPER than the BASE iMac 27 inch model. As a side note before I ask my questions, yes, I will indeed do a Vanilla install to avoid any problems and maintain stability. Now my questions are pretty simple: 1: Based on the components I've initially chosen, will my system, if I follow all the steps correctly, be working properly? As in, will I expect the WiFi, Bluetooth, to work? 2: I have chosen the Gigabyte motherboard specifically because I will NEED Thunderbolt 3 for my interface... does anyone know if this motherboard works well with MacOS Mojave? 3: Lastly, is there anything else I need to know before proceeding with buying these components? Any suggestions or tips will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading and I'm looking forward to your guys' responses! [link] [comments] |
