Hey all - I have seen a couple posts about this but no real solutions, figured I would check again as the posts were all several years old. I built a new system last month, followed CorpNewt's Vanilla guide and it is working great. My only major issue is that I get a screenful of static every time waking up from sleep or whenever my display has been off for a while. I had this issue every once in a while when I was running NVidia, but after a couple seconds the static would go away and the display would be fine. Right now, I have to turn off the display (Cmd-Shift-Eject) and then back on to make it disappear. Kind of annoying.
The only other weird display issue is my second monitor doesn't seem to remember the rotation coming back from a reboot. Not sure if the two things are related. My primary display is DVI-D and the second is DisplayPort.
