How to Fix Windows options in opencore
Boot failures are most commonly caused by firmware settings, incorrect OpenCore configuration, or USB mapping problems.
Quick Fix Steps
- Boot verbose: Add
-v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100to see where the boot process stops. - Check firmware: Disable Secure Boot, Fast Boot, and CFG Lock; set SATA to AHCI; enable UEFI mode.
- Validate OpenCore: Run ocvalidate or ProperTree clean snapshot to catch config errors.
- Recreate installer: Use a fresh USB drive and try a different USB port.
Verification
- Verbose boot passes the previous stopping point.
- The installer sees the target disk.
- Keyboard and mouse work during recovery.

Original Question: "Windows options in opencore?"
Hi, I've successfully setup my hackintosh. However I realized that when I boot into OpenCore, only the MacOS partition and the recovery partition options are available.
I would like to add my windows (seperate drive) as an option on the OpenCore selection. How do I go about doing that?
I am running a ryzentosh
