How to Handle 11.1 update not showing
The best macOS version depends on hardware age, GPU support, and workload.
Quick Steps
- Match macOS to hardware: Older Macs run best on Monterey/Ventura; newer ones can test Sonoma/Sequoia with OCLP.
- Update OCLP first: Latest version, build/install OpenCore, apply root patches.
- Test workload: Browser, Office, printing, sleep, Wi-Fi.
- Keep downgrade path: USB installer for previous macOS.
Verification
- Boots twice without intervention.
- Graphics and Wi-Fi work after patches.

Original Question: "11.1 update not showing?"
Hi, I wanted to update from 11.0.1 to 11.1 but Software Update says there is none for me. sudo softwareupdate -i 11.1 also says that no updates are available. I am not enrolled in any beta either, seedutil current says: Currently enrolled in: (null).
Could it be due to me not having fixed iMessage/FaceTime?
Using OC 0.6.4, SMBIOS MacBookPro14,1 and filled SN, UUID, MLB and ROM.
