How to Fix Boot arguments wont save? Clover 5122
Boot failures are caused by firmware settings, incorrect OpenCore configuration, or USB mapping problems.
Quick Fix Steps
- Boot verbose: Add
-v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100. - Check firmware: Disable Secure Boot, Fast Boot, CFG Lock; set SATA to AHCI.
- Validate OpenCore: Run ocvalidate or ProperTree clean snapshot.
- Recreate installer: Fresh USB drive, different port.
Verification
- Verbose boot passes the previous stop.
- Installer sees the target disk.

Original Question: "Boot arguments wont save? Clover 5122"
As the title says, the Clover boot arguments wont save for some reason on my config.plist.
- I've tried resetting my NVRAM but that throws me into a login crash loop so I just unplug and plug in my cmos battery again.
- I then use clover configurator to edit the boot menu timeout to -1 and that works but when I try to edit the boot argument from both clover configurator, text editor, and even pre-boot menu, it never saves.
Any way to fix this? Yes I've tried even booting from a flash drive EFI but it still keeps the same boot arguments.
