How to Fix No port micro restart ( we don't support SMC on this platform) and then restart. SEE the attached photo
Boot failures are caused by firmware settings, incorrect OpenCore configuration, or USB mapping problems.
Quick Fix Steps
- Boot verbose: Add
-v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100. - Check firmware: Disable Secure Boot, Fast Boot, CFG Lock; set SATA to AHCI.
- Validate OpenCore: Run ocvalidate or ProperTree clean snapshot.
- Recreate installer: Fresh USB drive, different port.
Verification
- Verbose boot passes the previous stop.
- Installer sees the target disk.

When I click macOS installer after the second restart of the Big Sur installation, i get into this. So i can't finish installing Big Sur. Verbose shows no port micro restart ( we don't support SMC on this platform) , it immediately restarts after this part of the verbose. This image is a screenshot from the video i recorded as it immediately restart after showing this part of the verbose so i couldn't take a photo. [link] [comments] |
