How to Fix Hackintosh Ready for Acer Nitro N50-600?

This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

Prerequisites

  • Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
  • Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.

Fix Steps

  1. Check if your GPU requires WhateverGreen or specific boot-args (e.g., agdpmod=pikera).
  2. Ensure Metal acceleration is fully supported for your macOS version.
  3. Update Lilu and WhateverGreen to the latest versions.

Verification

  • Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.

Original Question:

Hello.

Recently I upgraded my PC from an OEM computer, my OEM computer was a 2018 Acer Nitro N50-600 with these parts:

Motherboard: Acer Custom
Case: Acer Custom
RAM: Corsair Vengeance CL16 16 GB'S DDR4 2666.
GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8 GB
Storage: Kingston RBUSNS8154P3256GJ1 (followed by a WDBLUE 1 TB HDD.)

Now that I have custom-built a PC, I was wondering if this one will be able to run macOS, here are the parts:

Motherboard: ASUS PRIME-B360-PLUS.
Case: Corsair 275R Airflow.
RAM: Corsair Vengeance CL16 16 GB'S DDR4 2666.
GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8 GB.
PSU: Corsair RM750x.
Storage: Kingston RBUSNS8154P3256GJ1 (Followed by a WDBLUE 1 TB HDD & Seagate 500 GB)
Monitor: HP E233 (X2) (DisplayPort, however HDMI is available)
Keyboard: Corsair K70 LUX RGB.
Mouse: Corsair NIGHTSWORD RGB.
Headset: HyperX Cloud II. (With USB sound card.)

If anyone's got any information about if this hardware is compatible, and if there are any BIOS options that need changing, what Kexts need to be put in place, how the clover config is etc. Please do let me know.

Thanks!
