- Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.
Fix Steps
- Verify your network controller model (Intel, Broadcom, Realtek).
- Ensure the correct kext (e.g., AirportItlwm or BrcmPatchRAM) is loaded in your config.
- Clear network interfaces and reset NVRAM if changes don't apply.
Verification
- Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.
Original Question:
Hi all, I am on Big Sur 11.2.3 on my Lenovo IdeaPad Z50-70, literally everything works except nvidia dgpu and thats expected, wifi bluetooth airdrop etc all of em (changed wifi card)
However I want to modify system stuffs like messing with strings like old days, till catalina we used to disable gatekeeper and mounted system to modify root, but on big sur we get error "failed with 66"
I have sip disabled, is there any way to modify system? I have windows, and tried to mount apfs but this mounts data partition, so that nothing can be done on system
Any suggestions? or should i just give up?
