How to Fix Need help to get my BCM4324 wifi card with airportbrcmfixup.kext
This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
Prerequisites
- Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
- Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.
Fix Steps
- Verify your network controller model (Intel, Broadcom, Realtek).
- Ensure the correct kext (e.g., AirportItlwm or BrcmPatchRAM) is loaded in your config.
- Clear network interfaces and reset NVRAM if changes don't apply.
Verification
- Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.
Original Question:
Hi guys, I have a BCM4324 and I wanted to make it work on my hackintosh, I saw that post there which provided a kext which made this wifi card work, but it's old and not supported in big sur, I checked airportbrcmfixup and I saw that my wifi id (4234) is in the kext inside IOnamematch, but I don't know how to make this work as there is little information about it on their github. I tried to install airportbrcmfixup with fakePCIID and fakebroadcomPCIID.kext and it wasn't working. I guess I need more tweaking but I'm clueless as of how to do that.
thanks!
