How to Fix [Success] Updated from MacOS 11.1 to 11.2.2 and OpenCore from 0.6.4 to 0.6.7, but I have a problem now with audio that wasn't there before...
This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
Prerequisites
- Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
- Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.
Fix Steps
- Boot with
-v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100to identify the exact kernel panic. - Validate your config.plist using ocvalidate.
- Ensure your EFI matches the Dortania guide specifications for your CPU generation.
Verification
- Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.
Original Question:
The title says it all: It's in the picker that I'm having problems: It no longer plays but it used to. When checking debug logs, I get lines as follows:
OCAU: Setting language to en-GBpplptal(
07:661 00:002 OCAU: PlayFile has no AudioIo or provider is unconfigured
That makes it sound like it's a new setting or something that I managed to have forgotten about.
Could I possibly have help with this? The hack is usable, but it doesn't help when I don't hear OpenCore firing up and telling me that it's ready for a username and password for FileVault...
