TL;DR; The Trash fairy bought me a computer. Take a look at the photos and parts list below and tell me if it can be Hackintoshed, AND if it's worth building a system around it, or parts of it at least. :)

So... I was taking out the trash yesterday, and sitting right there next to the bins in my complex... a gaming PC!... Sort of.

The guts of it were stripped out, but it has a Case, Motherboard, Power Supply, Fans, A bunch of cabling, and even RGB strip lighting. The guy's obviously building something else, so I'm guessing something in here is incompatible with his plans?

I have been thinking of building a Hackintosh for a while now (For video editing and gaming as a side benefit), and I hope I have the building blocks for a good system here.

Since I have never built a PC let alone a Hackintosh, I don't really know what I'm doing, so here are some pics. Tell me what I have here, and if I got lucky, or not. https://imgur.com/a/dsHBlZF

What I (Sort of) Know...

1. Fans are Corsair somethings (See photos). (And is that liquid cooling for the CPU?)
2. Case is by Phanteks, but I haven't figured out the model yet.
3. Motherboard is an ASUS Z170-AR Specs here: (https://www.umart.com.au/ASUS-Z170-AR-Motheboard_33009G.html), and it appears it can be used for a Hackintosh: https://hackintosher.com/builds/asus-z170-pro-skylake-hackintosh/
4. Lots of cabling included, but no idea if any is missing.
5. I haven't been able to access the PSU yet, but it has one...
   

So.... it actually seems to be in really good shape. But is there any way to test it before I commit to building around it, or selling it, or ditching it.
Obvious "Issues" I've found are:

1. There's "glitter" in the case? I'm sure I can remove it, but no idea why it's there (Yes, there's a little on the motherboard, and I assume some found its way into the fans as well. Not sure about the PSU)
2. It's "missing" the kettle cord for the power supply. (No biggie right? Doesn't look proprietary).
3. There's a few cosmetic issues, like some scratches on the glass, and it looks like someone has taken a crayon to the top grill (Should clean off).
4. I'm having trouble getting that top grill to click into place.

The original idea was to build something very high end for MacOS that edits 4K (or even 8K) video, but if I'm being told on a PC Building reddit that (if it even works), I can only run intel 7th gen chips on that board (4 years old). So it seems unlikely...

BUT, if I can build this for cheap, and it can handle Microsoft Flight Sim and DCS at 60fps in High settings at 1080p or 1440p in windows, and then in MacOS, outperform my 2014 MPB and edit 4K video timelines well, then I'm still intrigued. But my budget then... maybe $1000? $1500 if it's worth it.

So... let me know if that's possible, and what my options are for parts?!
