How to Fix Multiboot Bigsur and Windows on laptop

This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

Prerequisites

  • Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
  • Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.

Fix Steps

  1. Boot with -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 to identify the exact kernel panic.
  2. Validate your config.plist using ocvalidate.
  3. Ensure your EFI matches the Dortania guide specifications for your CPU generation.

Verification

  • Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.

Original Question:

Hey guys I currently have MacOs Big Sur on an external HDD(putting in a laptop caddy later) and my Windows Os on my main HDD. I want the multiboot feature as i have to select the macos drive everytime i boot up from f12. Ive read the guides for multiboot on dortunia but it’s quite confusing. They say to install Windows and macos and should already have the multiboot when you boot, but mine boots straight to Windows 10.

Can anyone guide me to the right guide for my situation? And how can i get the nice themes/icons in the multiboot aswell?

Cheers
