How to Fix Installer in russian and can't change language

This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

Prerequisites

  • Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
  • Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.

Fix Steps

  1. Boot with -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 to identify the exact kernel panic.
  2. Validate your config.plist using ocvalidate.
  3. Ensure your EFI matches the Dortania guide specifications for your CPU generation.

Verification

  • Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.

Original Question:

I followed dortania guide for opencore 0.7.6 and this efi for my thinkpad t440

but my installer is russian

specs:

I5 4300u

8GB RAM DDR3

240GB SSD SATA

what I tried:

Set to "656e2d55533a30" for American, nothing to do

set to "ZW4tVVM6MA==" from notepad++, nothing

set to "it-IT:4" for italian, nothing

set to "en-US:0" for american, nothing

other question: I read that resetting NVRAM in thinkpads could brick or semi-brick my laptop, which is the best way to reset NVRAM, I have read updating the bios but I am at 2.49 I am afraid that when I have finished the updates I will not be able to anymore reset the nvram. Are there any alternatives?
