I have a 2017 MacBook Pro 15" with an Intel i7, 250GB SSD, and 16GB RAM. Currently running macOS Ventura and it's working fine overall.
I'm thinking about updating to Sequoia using OpenCore Legacy Patcher since Apple dropped support for this model. Just wondering if it's worth it or not.
Main questions:
- Does the Touch Bar still work after the patch?
- Any noticeable performance issues or bugs?
- Is there anything in Sequoia that makes the update worth it over Ventura?
- How’s the stability and general day-to-day use?
- Any problems with future updates or patching?
Would appreciate any feedback from people who’ve done this on similar hardware. Just trying to decide if it’s worth the effort or better to stay on Ventura for now.
Thanks.
