| | For anyone hesitating with updating from Monterey to Sequoia on a 2015 13" Pro i7, I personally think it's worth it, I was hesitating first. It does run a little slower than Monterey but the difference isn't much, the battery might drain a little faster as well but I didn't really notice the difference, (again the differences in performance aren't as visible as they would be updating a 2010 non-Metal machine from High Sierra to Monterey for example). I cannot get enough of the "Keep Downloaded" option (only available on Sequoia and above), and Final Cut Pro works better than I expected (I still don't recommend editing anything in higher than 1080p), it works fine for quick edits. The widgets work fine as well. Overall it feels like a modern experience without the compromises you get when installing on a non-Metal machine, but it does get loud. I also run Dolphin on this and get a stable framerate running in 720p. [link] [comments] |
