Fixing Wi-Fi Initialization Failures in OCLP
When Wi-Fi worked initially but suddenly refuses to turn on, it's often a case of a corrupted kext cache or a conflict with a background macOS update.
Resolution Steps:
- Clear System Configuration: Open Terminal and run:
sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist. Reboot immediately. - Revert Root Patches: Open the OCLP app, click Post-Install Root Patch, and select Revert Root Patches. Reboot.
- Force Patch Reinstall: After rebooting, open OCLP again and re-apply the Post-Install Root Patches. This forces the patcher to re-link the wireless drivers.
- Check SIP: Ensure System Integrity Protection is disabled (set to 0x03 or similar in OCLP settings) as active SIP will block the loading of legacy Wi-Fi kexts.

So I recently downloaded macOS on open Legacy and It was running perfectly fine for the first week or two and then one day I logged on and my Wi-Fi was turned off and I went to go turn it back on but it wouldn’t let me. I’ve tried reinstalling the post install patch again did not work. Can anyone help me?
