Resolving Startup Hangs for OCLP Beginners

Getting stuck on the Apple logo is a common hurdle when you're new to OCLP. Here's how to handle it without panic.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Verbose Mode: In OCLP settings, check 'Verbose Mode' and rebuild OpenCore. This will show you text instead of the Apple logo, allowing you to see exactly where the boot is failing.
  2. Check the USB: Ensure your OCLP USB is plugged directly into the Mac, not a hub. Front ports on Mac Pros are often more reliable for booting.
  3. Root Patches: If you just updated macOS, you must boot into Safe Mode (hold Shift) to re-apply the root patches.

Original Question: "Stuck on booting screen"

Stuck on booting screen

I'm stuck on the booting screen. Will it do anything at all or do I need to restart?

I'm kinda new to all of this so I don't really know what to do.
