Resolving Boot Picker Redirection Issues
If selecting 'EFI Boot' on your OCLP USB simply boots back into your existing OS instead of the macOS Ventura Installer, your OpenCore configuration is likely pointing to the wrong default partition.
The Fix:
- Hold 'Option' Key: When you see the OpenCore picker (the icons on a black background), hold the Option key while clicking the 'macOS Installer' icon. This sets it as the temporary default.
- NVRAM Reset: Perform a PRAM reset (Cmd+Opt+P+R) to clear any stuck boot paths in the Mac's firmware.
- Re-create Installer: If it still won't load, use OCLP to re-create the USB installer, ensuring you select the correct Mac model in the settings.
