iMac 14,1 - Updated from Catalina to Monterey, OS too old?

Hey there! First of all, thanks so much for this project. I discovered it three weeks ago because I received an email saying my Office 365 would not work anymore and used it to update from Catalina to Monterey.

Even though the OS is working quite well, it's been a while since it was released and so, I can see support on many apps seems to have been discontinued. Not as dramatically as not being able to use them, but yeah.

Then there's OneDrive, which seems to unsync every so often... I've tried both the Microsoft pkg version, which ends up uninstalling because of incompatibilities, as well as the Mac App Store version, which is not very reliable.

Now, I'm thinking of updating to a more recent OS, but not sure which one or if I have the adequate hardware to do so. Can you help me? Six years ago, we upgraded the HDD to a Crucial SSD and the iMac was reborn. Is this enough to update to a newer OS? I'd prefer not to open my iMac once again to upgrade my RAM... but if there's no other way I guess I can do it.
