I've got an Intel 15" 2017 MacBookPro OCLP 2.4.1 patched w/ Sequoia 15.7.1 and everything on my CalDigit TS4 dock works fine except ethernet. No matter what I try (reset pram, delete old devices, add networking locations, etc) I can't get macOS to recognize the Thunderbolt Ethernet that the TS4 provides. There's no option in System Settings -> Network -> Add Service to add a Thunderbolt Ethernet Slot X adapter, because that only appears when macOS recognizes connected hardware that can act as a thunderbolt ethernet device.
Tested the TS4 on an M4 MacBookPro as well and ethernet there works fine, system report recognizes the Intel I225 networking chip so I know the hardware itself is good.
Interestingly the only ethernet adapter my Intel mac sees is my T1 chip? Didn't think that had anything to do with ethernet. ``` Apple T1 Controller:
Bus: USB Vendor Name: Apple Inc. Product Name: Apple T1 Controller Vendor ID: 0x05ac Product ID: 0x8600 USB Link Speed: Up to 480 Mb/s Driver: com.apple.driver.usb.cdc.ncm BSD Device Name: en5 AVB Support: No Maximum Link Speed: 5 Gb/s ```
